QEI Recognizes National Police Week 2016

National Police Week is Sunday, May 15, 2016 through Saturday, May 21, 2016. The annual event pays special recognition to those law enforcement officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty for the safety and protection of others.

The QEI Security & Technology team brought cookies and balloons to all Charleston-area police agencies as a way to say thank you for the sacrifices they make for our community.

South Carolina Police Week Family Fun Day 2016, planned for Saturday, May 21 in Columbia, has been postponed to September 15. The event will feature a kickball tournament, food trucks, K9 demos and more.

On Monday, the South Carolina Law Enforcement Officers Association held their annual golf tournament as part of Police Week. And on Friday, May 6, the Special Olympics Torch Run passed through the state capitol.

“Our first responders are an incredibly important part of our community and we are committed to supporting them and their families,” says Chad Sanders, QEI Security & Technology president.
