4 Home Security System Features You Shouldn’t Live Without

Home security systems have come a long way in recent years. Even the most basic QEI Security & Technology system offers conveniences to simplify your life – if you’re not taking advantage of them, you should be!

These are the four security system features that we think offer the most bang for your buck – two are free!

1. Ability to remotely arm/disarm.

All QEI Security & Technology wireless systems can be armed and disarmed from your smartphone, tablet or computer. This feature is included in the FREE equipment we provide to every customer. If your security provider isn’t offering this, you need to find another company.

2. Text notifications.

Text notifications are free with all QEI Security & Technology wireless security systems. You can receive a notification every time a door is opened, when the system is turned on/off, if the alarm is triggered and more.

3. Monitored smoke and CO2 detectors.

Monitored smoke detectors are added to the majority of burglar alarms we install. In fact, 95 percent of the systems we sell in Myrtle Beach, S.C. include a monitored smoke detector. The cost is about $100.

“Pets can’t dial 911,” says QEI Sales Representative Herman Fillingane. “With a monitored smoke detector, the fire department is automatically notified if there is a problem.”

4. Interior HD camera.

Interior HD cameras are often included in “free security system” offers… if they not included, they’re only half the cost of an outdoor HD camera, so they don’t break the bank. An interior camera (about $200) can still show you who is entering and leaving your home.

Using QEI Security & Technology’s TEQHoM INTERACTIVE system, video can be viewed and saved from your smartphone, tablet or computer. You can even set the system up to record when the door is opened.
